What kind of screen is on Lenovo 930 capacitance or. Lenovo S930 - Specifications

Lenovo S930 is a giant among Lenovo smartphones. At CES 2014, an interesting smartphone model with a 6-inch screen was presented, which can now be purchased on online trading platforms. This model is Lenovo IdeaPhone S930. Below we will consider in detail all the “goodies” of this product.

Characteristics

What is primarily interesting about this device model? Well, of course, a 6-inch screen with an IPS matrix and a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, with a density of 240 ppi. Yes, this is not Full HD, but the manufacturer does not position this model as a premium device.

The MTK6582 Quad Core 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1 Gb of RAM and 4 Gb of internal memory is a bid for fairly high performance at an affordable price.

The phone is hidden in a fairly thin case with a thickness of 8.7 mm.

Like most other Lenovo phones, this model works in two communication standards: WCDMA and GSM and, unlike the flagship of early 2014, does not support LTE. Lenovo S930 provides simultaneous support for two SIM cards.

The device's battery is 3000 mAh, which is enough for the phone to work for 1.5-2 days in a not very intensive mode. At the start of sales, the phone comes with a pre-installed Android 4.2.2 operating system. According to AnTuTu Benchmark 4.0 tests, the device scored 17101 points, which is quite a high figure for this segment of devices.

Sound

A special feature of the S930 is also the presence of Dolby Digital Plus speakers, which, according to the manufacturer, gives the phone a new sound, cleaner and higher quality than before. For a smartphone of this level, this is of course an additional plus.

Camera

There are two cameras on the phone. The rear is 8 megapixels with flash and the front is 1.6 megapixels. The “super camera” has pre-installed filters for quick editing captured photographs.

Appearance

On the front of the phone, we can see three touch buttons at the bottom of the screen, and on top - the Lenovo logo, proximity sensor, light sensor, front-camera 1.6 MP and an event indicator.

On the back panel, made of plastic, visually reminiscent of chromed metal, we see the Lenovo logo, a rear 8-megapixel camera with flash and a microphone.

The right side of the phone has a volume rocker and a power button for the device. On the bottom there is a micro-USB input, and on the top there is only a headphone input.

On the one hand, this is a smartphone with active support for two SIM cards, and on the other, a tablet with a display diagonal of a decent 6 inches. It is its characteristics that will be discussed in this short article.

Equipment, design and ergonomics

Although the dimensions of this smartphone are quite impressive, the manufacturer itself classifies it as a medium-sized device. It turns out that you shouldn’t expect anything unusual in the configuration. Everything in this case is quite formulaic:

  • Smartphone with overall dimensions 170 x 86.5 mm. At the same time, its thickness is 8.7 mm and its weight is only 170 grams, which is very little for a phablet with such dimensions.
  • A battery with a capacity of 3000 milliampere/hour.
  • Regular stereo headset. The sound quality in it is very mediocre, but for the average music lover this will be enough. But music lovers should immediately think about buying another, higher-quality speaker system.
  • A cord and an adapter rolled into one - “MicroUSB” - “USB”. It charges the battery and allows you to connect to a PC.
  • Charger with USB output.

There is also a mandatory user manual and, of course, the case is not included in the Lenovo S930 delivery package. The front panel of the gadget is made of ordinary glossy plastic. So you can’t do without a special protective film. The side ribs are made of nickel-plated iron, and the back cover is made of polycarbonate. The volume control and power buttons are grouped on the right edge of the device, and the touch buttons are located under the display. All this allows, if necessary, to control the smartphone using only the fingers of one hand.

But still, 6 inches leaves its mark on the ease of operation; with such dimensions, it is still better to do it with two hands at once.

Smartphone hardware resources, cameras and screen

The combination of the processor and the graphics adapter is the weakest link in this phablet. Still, the MT6582 with 4 revision “A7” cores and a peak frequency of 1300 MHz is not enough today. But still, most problems can be solved using its computing capabilities. This includes watching movies, playing music, reading books, and surfing the World Wide Web. Also, the Lenovo S930 can handle most games without any problems. The only exceptions in this regard are the most demanding toys of the latest generation, which require large CPU computing resources. The situation is similar with graphics card Mali-400MP2. As noted earlier, the display diagonal of this smartphone is an impressive 6 inches. It processes a maximum of 5 touches simultaneously. Its resolution is 1280 x 720, it displays over 16 million colors. It is also based on a high-quality IPS matrix, which makes viewing angles close to 180 degrees. The main camera of the S930 is based on a rather modest 8 megapixel matrix. Its capabilities are complemented by an autofocus system, LED flash and digital zoom. As a result, the quality of the photos is at an acceptable level, as for the middle price range. The second camera, located on the front panel, is based on a 1.6 megapixel matrix and is great for making video calls.

What about memory?

The amount of memory set in mobile phone Lenovo S930 does not cause any complaints. The amount of RAM in it is 1 GB. And the built-in storage has a size of 8 GB. If desired, this value can be increased by 32 GB by inserting an external MicroSD flash card. All this together ensures smooth and comfortable operation on this device.

Autonomy and battery

Not very durable, as for such a large device, the battery installed in the phone indicates that the owners of the gadget indicate that one charge in most cases is enough for 12 hours of battery life. That is, this smartphone must be charged every evening. Although it is an impressive 3000 milliamps/hour, its display diagonal is 6 inches. Don't forget also about the processor, which consists of 4 cores. In general, it is difficult to say how long the battery can last in such an intensive mode. But you can immediately purchase one with a MicroUSB connection interface and at least somehow solve the problem with autonomy. Of course, this will ruin the appearance of the smartphone, but it will not let you down at the right time.

BY

The Lenovo S930 SILVER smartphone runs an outdated, but currently most popular version of the Android mobile OS with number 4.2. A review of the installed settings indicates the presence of Lenovo Laucher. Its main task is the ability to customize the interface to suit the user's needs, and it copes with this perfectly. A standard set of utilities is also installed: calculator, calendar and browser. In addition, a set of programs from Google was installed. Chinese programmers have not forgotten about social networks. In this case we are talking about Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The owner will have to download and install the rest of the software from the Android market.

Data exchange

Lenovo mobile phones are always equipped with a rich set of communication capabilities. The S930 was no exception in this regard. First of all, it is worth highlighting the support of the ZhSM and 3Zh networks. Moreover, they work fully and simultaneously. That is, both SIM cards are constantly in active mode. “ZhSM” networks allow you to transmit information at speeds of up to 500 kbit/s, and “3ZH” - up to 15 Mbit/s. In the first case, you can communicate on social networks or download simple websites. But “3Zh” allows you to fully work with any amount of data, and even make video calls. There is also Wi-Fi, the capabilities of which are similar to 3rd generation networks. True, the speed in this case is much higher - 150 Mbit/s, but the range is reduced to 10, maximum 15 meters. Another important wireless interface is Bluetooth. It has low speed and a small range (similar to Wi-Fi). But in the case when you need to transfer a small amount of information from one tablet or smartphone to another, it will be very difficult to do without it. The set of wired interfaces on this smartphone will be more modest. There are only MicroUSB and 3.5 mm for connecting external acoustics.

The phone is very good, I’ve been using it for a year and a half now and there have been no serious problems with it, it’s convenient to watch movies, surf the Internet and play games

    all good

camera - full HD video is excellent, many have cameras with more pixels (13mp, 12mp) but the guys are lagging behind. In short, the camera is excellent both video and photo. Speakers on the front side - there are probably no more phones like this, but it’s a pity that this is an excellent solution, there are also two of them , they sing clearly and loudly. Akum - in the morning with a full charge, I left the house, turned on 3G, music, GPS, at a picnic I played music through the speakers, the child played in the asphalt ------ I returned home late in the evening, but about charging I didn’t remember, I woke up in the morning, and there was still MIN 20%. Akum is excellent.

Excellent screen with a large reserve of brightness and good viewing angles, fast, very pleased, the battery lasts 2-3 days of hard use (toys and the Internet) in energy saving mode for 5 days!!! Ruth rights are immediately open for those who are interested!

    1. Large screen, 2. Relatively good battery compared to most smart phones that don’t last until the end of the day. 2 years of use - the battery is still alive.

    2 years ago 0

The price and the screen, the battery, the Dolby sound is amazing, it is written on the website that it supports up to 7.1, it was updated to 4.4 kitket and began to work noticeably faster, but there are disadvantages about this, a lot of features from Lenovo are very useful. You get used to it in 2 days and it no longer seems that big. Be sure to take a book case so as not to break it during the first fall (in the case it has already adequately survived a dozen falls, including on an escalator)

It’s not important, but the *eye* of the camera sticks out and will definitely get scratched (solved with a book case)
The battery is weak, it holds up well at first, but after a year of use it doesn’t last until the evening, the speakers get very dirty

The battery is a little small, but for a day, provided the Internet is always on, 2 photos that constantly receive calls, and continuous communication on Viber and Skype are enough for me

The only drawback is rear camera The resolution is mediocre, but the main thing is that it doesn’t catch focus. I have two 939s and both have this problem!

    2 years ago 0

    1. A larger battery would be nice (4000 would be ideal, since now it’s enough for a day of active use, but not enough).
    2. The camera is not very good - but this is debatable - I have had custom firmware since I started using it.
    3. No OTG - bad!

    2 years ago 0

With Android 4.4, the battery runs out until the evening (up to 16:00 maximum) with active use only, no problems like other users arose when installing 4.4 (and as it turns out, there can be a lot of them, but strangely enough, not for me). I read their forum and rolled back to version 4.2.2, the phone began to work better and the flashlight works as long as needed, and not for 15 seconds. Another minus is that you must write +7 in your contacts, otherwise with 8 it even refuses to send SMS... Intrusive pre-installed antivirus (rutted and crashed it, but lost the warranty, which basically expired).

The sound in the headphones is not loud
the screen is too big - the phone is up to 5
    no OTG
The power connector is not reliable
no update from 4.4 to 5 for mega brand Zalyot
    no button backlight
plastic all around is not solid for an elite series
the cable is thick and sticky
speaker grilles get littered with hand grease

Not suitable for everyone due to its size. Disgusting camera. The minimum brightness is not so minimal.

The Lenovo IdeaPhone S930 smartphone was introduced a few months ago. The new product is equipped with a large 6-inch IPS display, while being light in weight and dimensions. Along with this, the smartphone is based on a quad-core processor and has received a completely new shell.

Equipment

The smartphone comes with: Charger 1.5 A, USB cable, headset with replaceable ear pads, as well as paper documentation. All accessories are white.

Design and ergonomics

With such dimensions, there can be no talk about the ease of using a smartphone with one hand. The light weight and thickness help improve usability a little. The bezels on the sides of the screen are large, and the top and bottom are even larger thanks to the stereo speakers.

The front panel is almost completely covered with protective glass. In addition to the speaker located at the top end, at the top of the case there are light and proximity sensors, an event indicator, the manufacturer's logo and a front camera.

Below the display there are hardware touch keys and a second multimedia speaker. Along the perimeter of the case there is a chrome-plated plastic strip that imitates metal. On the right side there is a volume and power key. The left side is empty. At the top end there is a 3.5 mm audio jack, at the bottom end there is a Micro-USB connector and a conversational microphone. The back of the smartphone is almost completely covered by a removable cover with a very fine pattern. This cover texture hides minor scratches and fingerprints. On the back side there are: a second microphone, a camera lens protruding above the surface of the body, an LED flash and a chrome-plated manufacturer’s logo. The glossy eraser on the sides and bottom of the back collects fingerprints and may become covered in small scratches after a while. Removing the back cover reveals two SIM card slots and a card slot MicroSD memory, as well as a 3000 mAh battery.

Thanks to the location of the lock key on the right side of the smartphone, you can easily unlock it with one hand, but even with all this, you still want to use the device with both hands. It is worth noting that all keys have good sensitivity. To be honest, the assembly of the smartphone was disappointing. The body rigidity is low. When the case is bent or pressure is applied to the back cover, a characteristic creak is heard.

Operating system and shell

The smartphone is running operating system Android 4.2.2 and Lenovo Smart UI proprietary graphical shell. The shell resembles that of Huawei and the well-known MIUI firmware from .

After unlocking the device, our view opens to the desktop, on which there are application shortcuts, folders and widgets. The shell consists only of a desktop, which can contain up to 18 desktops, and the number of shortcuts in a folder can be even greater. Entering the application folder is accompanied by beautiful animation.

Pulling the curtain opens a menu of switches. They can be scrolled from right to left, or by pressing a button, you can display all the shortcuts in one window. After clicking on the switch icon, you do not get to the settings menu, but directly switch what is needed. From the notification panel you can go to the main settings. All settings are divided into three points: General, Special and System.

In “General” there are WLAN settings, mobile internet, Bluetooth, brightness, wallpapers, themes, volume, ringtones and SMS, everything is like in many other Android smartphones.

But the “Special” settings are more interesting. They are divided into three categories: Sensors and Gestures and Other. One of the interesting things to mention is Shake-lock. This is the ability to lock your smartphone by shaking. It is worth noting that you need to shake the device quite vigorously. If you have sorted out the unusual lock, then there is a Smart Unlock function to unlock it. Its essence is that to unlock you need to swipe across the bottom of the screen from left to right. Other settings include setting up notifications, turning on the volume keys, an event indicator and DOLBY DIGITAL PLUS. The missed events indicator can alert you to missed calls and unread messages. DOLBY DIGITAL PLUS settings come in four modes: Movie, Music, Game and Select. You can customize the equalizer, there are smart settings (open, lush, spot) and the ability to manually adjust.

“System” are standard settings that are familiar from other smartphones. But there is one very useful screen settings item - this is the dialing prevention mode. This mode will prevent the device from accidentally unlocking in your pocket.

The new shell, like the old one, allows you to apply different appearance themes. The Theme Center consists of eight preset themes. To see additional ones, we need to swipe the screen from left to right, as a result of which we will have access to the main components. You can select one of the themes, and then individually change its components: lock screen, wallpaper, etc.

The user may be surprised to know that the smartphone comes pre-installed with a huge number of applications that occupy three desktop windows, and this is taking into account the fact that Google applications are located in a separate folder. Most of installed applications are deleted. Having a beautiful and functional explorer is good, but the almost complete list of Yandex services will not please many. In addition to programs from other manufacturers, Lenovo has added its own applications to the device, including Power Manager, for the most efficient adjustment of energy consumption.

Another feature familiar to users Xiaomi smartphones– this is the ability to block applications in memory that will not be closed when clearing RAM. Its essence is that by calling up running applications, you have the opportunity to either unload unnecessary tasks from memory one by one, or clear all memory, or block some applications. When clearing memory, blocked applications will not be unloaded, but will continue to work as usual. In practice, this very often helps to deal with a large number of unnecessary background tasks, but at the same time leave the necessary tasks.

During testing, the updated interface showed itself on the good side. No slowdowns were noticed, even when the RAM was occupied by a large number of background tasks.

Hardware platform

Lenovo S930 is powered by a MediaTek MT6582 processor, which consists of four cores operating at 1.3 GHz and a dual-core Mali-400MP2 video accelerator. The amount of RAM is 1 GB, built-in is 8 GB. After turning on, the user has access to 420 MB of RAM and 5.3 GB of user space. Let us remind you that the smartphone supports MicroSD memory cards. The performance of this solution is more than enough for most tasks. Real Racing 3 starts and runs without the slightest problem at maximum graphics.

The device has two slots for SIM cards. As in most cases, there is one radio module. The quality of the speaker and microphone is good. There is a volume reserve. Job wireless networks did not cause any complaints. Wi-Fi reception is consistently good and the speed is quite high. There were no spontaneous shutdowns of Wi-Fi. There were no complaints about the navigation performance. Satellites are not caught instantly, but quite quickly.

As mentioned earlier, the phablet is equipped with two multimedia speakers. They are located on the front side, which is very good, because all the sound will be directed towards the user. The sound quality is excellent. The same can be said about the sound quality of headphones, especially if they are not included. The included headphones sound very mediocre. Even the built-in player copes well with video playback.

Camera

The smartphone has two cameras: a main 8 MP with autofocus and a front 1.6 MP with fixed focus. The aperture of the main and front cameras is f/2.4. The main one can take HDR photos and record Full HD video, the front one has a smaller set of settings and allows you to shoot video in VGA resolution (640x480 pixels).

The quality of photos from the main camera is very good. At automatic settings The white balance is chosen a little not as it should be, but the detailing of small objects is satisfactory. If you choose the HDR mode, the detail of the photo is significantly reduced, but the photo looks more contrasty. The front camera is only suitable for Skype calls.

Screen

With a 6-inch diagonal, the IPS matrix does not have the highest resolution - HD (1280x720). Unfortunately, the screen coating does not resist fingerprints well, which negatively affects appearance phablet. Multi-touch recognizes ten simultaneous presses. Subjectively, the screen is good, but not without its shortcomings. The behavior of the screen in the sun is not bad, the information on it is almost always readable, the viewing angles are close to maximum. And the picture as a whole looks good, and this is not hampered by the low resolution. But with minimum brightness, not everything is so good. Its value is 49.5 cd/m2, which is very high for comfortable work in the dark. If we are already talking about brightness, then the maximum value is 413 cd/m2, and the average is 211 cd/m2.

Factory calibration is done well. The gamma curve value is almost always around 2.2, the color gamut is close to sRGB. The color temperature is more than 6500K, which is why the picture looks colder than necessary.

Autonomy

Lenovo S930 is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. Despite the fact that the device is equipped with a large screen, the battery life of the device is good. In most cases, in light load mode, it will ask to be charged after 3 days. If you play more and watch videos, the battery life will be reduced to 2 days. While charging the smartphone, the included power supply becomes noticeably hot.

Results

Lenovo IdeaPhone S930 is a smartphone with a large and high-quality 6-inch IPS screen, excellent battery life, an interesting shell and light weight. Due to the low weight, the build quality and rigidity of the device body suffered. Of course, the device has quite a lot of competitors, but not all of them have stereo speakers, which is a significant advantage for a device with a large screen.

Pros: High-quality display, stereo speakers, good battery life, well-thought-out shell, small thickness and weight

Package.

Lenovo s930 comes in a white cardboard box. On the front side there is an image of the phablet and the model name. On the edges are icons with characteristics. After opening, we see a red container, on top of which there is a smartphone in a transport bag. The display has a shipping film attached to it. The rest of the delivery set is in the inner section of the container. There is paper documentation in a secret compartment.

Equipment.

The s930 equipment is as follows:
- Lots of instructions in several languages.
- Warranty card.
- MicroUSB cable.
- Charger.
- Headphones with a headset and a replaceable Ear pad.
- Phablet with battery.
The equipment package cannot be called outstanding. There is nothing remarkable about it. A simple bumper would be nice.

Appearance. Design.

First impression: “How big it is! This is a shovel!” As often happens, first impressions are deceiving. After a couple of hours spent with the Lenovo S930 in your hands, you stop noticing its dimensions. The smartphone is unusually light for its size. Rounded edges combined with low weight make the phablet easy to use. If you get used to it, you can use it with one hand. In my opinion, it is easier for men to use a phablet than for girls.

The design of the S series from Lenovo can be called traditional. The same rounded corners and edges, smooth lines. The S930 is no exception. It absorbed all the features of the series.

(img:10:click:medium) (img:11:click:medium)

Along the edges of the case there is a plastic edging, stylized as chrome-plated metal, which goes to the back side, closer to the bottom of the smartphone. The cover of the S930 is made of gray plastic with a fine-grained texture that does not leave marks. It also allows you to hold the phablet in your hand more confidently. The main camera eye protrudes noticeably above the surface of the back cover. The peephole itself is made of metal. But despite this, I recommend that you place the phablet more carefully on a hard surface. A microphone hole is located next to the camera. The brand name is located on the lid. The front side, in contrast to the prevailing light shades, is made in a dark color.

At the top of the screen there is the manufacturer's logo, a proximity sensor, a light sensor and a front camera. The frame around the screen is black and glossy. There are speakers located above and below the screen. Yes there are 2 of them!
Above the bottom speaker are 3 touch navigation keys. The buttons are white and not backlit. In poor lighting, the buttons are visible, but in complete darkness they are not visible.

Design features. Connectors.

Lenovo engineers cleverly placed the control buttons on one side. There is no need to reach across the phone to lock, everything is done with one touch. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, let's talk about everything in order.

The top edge is not burdened with any keys. There is only a headphone jack on it.

(img:7:click:medium) (img:6:click:medium)

On the right side are the volume and lock buttons. This arrangement allows you to operate the phone with one hand.

Once it was decided to go in a circle, now the bottom edge. It houses a microUSB connector and a microphone hole.

The left side is devoid of design refinements. Only lines that are pleasing to the eye.

The workmanship is excellent. There is no play or creaking. The parts fit well together. The back cover fits tightly to the body. It requires skill and patience so as not to break it the first time you open it. And it can be easily broken, since it is made of plastic.

Screen.

Lenovo s930 uses a large 6"" IPS screen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. Thus, the number of pixels per inch (PPI) is 245. At this density, individual pixels are not visible. The IPS matrix gives excellent viewing angles.

The screen does not fade in direct sunlight. You can work. Icons and text are visible. No discomfort.

The screen responds perfectly to all touches; you don’t have to double-click on icons. Moving between desktops is instant and smooth.

In my opinion, the screen is quite good, the colors are rich without distortion.

Camera.

Main camera 8 MPx with autofocus and LED flash. The maximum resolution of the main camera is 3264x2448. The camera has many shooting modes, as well as various filters in which you can both shoot and apply them to already taken photographs. With HDR applied, the photo size is 3-3.5 MB, without HDR 1.7-2 MB.
Examples of camera settings, as well as examples of photographs:

Before and after applying the contrast filter. With a filter applied, “noise” is clearly visible on the clouds

The front camera has a resolution of 1.6 megapixels and is more suitable for communicating via Skype than for taking pictures. Well, for “ourselves”. Where would we be without them?

Software.

Lenovo s930 comes with Android 4.2.2 on board. There is no other version of Android listed on the official website yet.

But the installed system cannot be called “clean”. Lenovo installs a proprietary environment on its smartphones, which includes many themes and pre-installed software. Many people just like this kind of concern for consumers. Everyone can choose a theme to suit their mood. And if necessary, remove everything unnecessary.

(img:25:click:medium) (img:26:click:medium) (img:27:click:medium)
(img:28:click:medium) (img:29:click:medium) (img:30:click:medium)

A distinctive feature is the absence of a separate menu with applications. All applications are distributed between desktops. The maximum number of desktops is 18!. Applications are distributed evenly in a 4x5 "active" matrix, which can vary from desktop to desktop. Additionally there is a 4x1 matrix. It contains frequently used applications. It is the same for all desktops.

Built-in conductor, convenient to use. As well as an expanded version of the top drop-down menu.

Synthetic tests.

After getting acquainted with the software part, let's talk about the hardware and its performance.
Lenovo s930 is built on the MT6582 single-chip platform. CPU has
4 ARM Cortex-A7 cores operating at 1.3 GHz. It is manufactured using SoC technology - 28nm and can work with RAM LPDDR2 and LPDDR3 up to 533 MHz. The Mali-400MP2 is responsible for the graphics. The processor is designed for the budget segment of devices. There are not enough stars from the sky, but the results show decent results.

(img:32:click:medium) (img:33:click:medium)

I will leave the test results without comment.

RAM 1 GB, of which approximately 300 MB is available.
Permanent 8 GB of which a little more than 4 GB is available.

(img:34:click:medium) (img:35:click:medium) (img:36:click:medium)

Applications and games can be installed on a memory card, but you must first select it as the main one. After these simple manipulations, applications will be installed on the card by default. Applications can also be transferred through the task manager to the application menu.

Game tests.

It’s interesting to look at various numbers, but the demonstration of gaming applications is more clear.

Dead trigger 2 and Real Racing 3 launched without problems. The games did not slow down, did not cause artifacts.

But also a few simple games for example.

Multimedia test.

Let's consider a test with video content of different resolutions, bitrates and different containers.

Lenovo did not disappoint! The smartphone easily played test videos with ducks of various bitrates. There were also no problems with HD and FullHD playback, but UltraHD was not played back. Testing was carried out using the built-in video viewing application.

(img:37:click:medium) (img:38:click:medium) (img:39:click:medium)

Most modern formats are supported by the phablet. Problems appeared with 4K resolution and specific settings for the mkv container. The phablet does not support 4k resolution, and problems with the container can be solved by installing a third-party player.

Sound.

The smartphone has 2 speakers that operate in stereo mode. You can also use only 1 speaker. To do this, you must disable the Dolby Digital function.
The sound is clear, there are no extraneous sounds. The available equalizer allows you to customize the sound to suit your needs. If we consider the sound from the perspective of the average person, the sound is loud and clear. The phone ringing can be clearly heard from another room or bag.

(img:40:click:medium) (img:41:click:medium) (img:42:click:medium)

Listening to music for a long time through the headphones that are included in the package is a dubious pleasure. Suitable for passing the time on the road.

Wireless network. (WI-FI, 3G, GPS).

I was pleasantly pleased with the quality of WI-FI; reception was reliable through several solid walls. The speed corresponded to that stated by the provider. If necessary, you can create wireless point access with just one touch of a special icon.

Let's check the GPS. Inside the panel house, 3 satellites were found in less than a minute, which can probably be considered a good result. The test was repeated outside. 10 spy satellites were discovered with which we were able to establish contact.

(img:44:click:medium) (img:45:click:medium)

It’s a pity there is no LTE support, but we’ll forgive this for a budget phablet.

Autonomous work.

A removable 3000 mAh battery (lithium-polymer) is responsible for autonomous operation. In the specifications on the manufacturer's website it is listed as built-in. Possibly incorrect translation into Russian. The battery capacity is large. With such a display, installing anything less would mean dooming the owner to live from outlet to outlet.
The smartphone can be called a long-liver. After 2 hours of watching a video on YouTube, the battery level dropped by only 30%. An excellent indicator for a smartphone with such a diagonal.

So the s930 worked in the following modes:
Video viewing maximum brightness and maximum sound: 6 hours 40 minutes
Listening to mp3 music on headphones: 44 hours
Mixed Internet mode (wi-fi, 3G), calls, SMS: ~ 3 days. Moderate calls and SMS ~ 4 days with one active SIM card

Other.

This is what the standard menu for dialing text messages and calls looks like.

(img:49:click:medium) (img:51:click:medium)
(img:50:click:medium) (img:52:click:medium)

This message can be seen if your leg tries to make a call from the pocket.

Connection via OTG. This feature is not stated by the manufacturer. When connecting an OTG cable with a flash drive to a phablet, the reaction is 0. Not declared = does not work.

Work in phone mode. The essence of the test is simply to check the ability to make calls in various everyday conditions. The test is considered passed if the call is made. Two more phones took part in the test, serving as reference phones for obtaining data.

Roof. All 3 devices received and made calls perfectly.
Basement. In the bowels of an office building, in harsh conditions, 23 smartphones performed the test. Acceptance levels decreased markedly for all participants. Only two made a successful call and reception; the third completely lost the network when making a call. Lenovo s930 passed the test.
The heart of a large office building. As on the roof, the test subjects successfully passed the test.

Conclusion.

The Lenovo s930 phablet is a device that combines the multimedia capabilities of a tablet with the necessary functionality of a phone. The size, which is intimidating at first glance, turns out to be a huge plus upon closer acquaintance. No more straining your eyes to see the smallest details. Forget about infinite zooming. For many, the obvious advantages may seem like the main argument against. The device turned out to be interesting. To understand whether a phablet is right for you, you should take it in your hand at least once.

I really liked Lenovo. Thin, and most importantly light, even compared to my small ZTE v970. You quickly get used to good things! I'm thinking about purchasing one for myself. There is a minus that was discovered during the first inspection. The back side is not all cover. The lower part, stylized as chromed metal, is part of the body. This coating can quickly become unsightly. A solution that lies on the surface. You just need to purchase a cover or bumper. But not all bumpers/flip cases cover the back side completely, and they cost an average of 1,000 rubles.
The smartphone is well optimized. During the entire period of operation there was not a hint of slowdown or stuttering in applications. Everything is bright and beautiful. I'm glad that I don't have to run to the outlet often. Autonomous operation enough for several days.
Now the traditional +/- :

+> Big screen
+> Good viewing angles
+> Thin and Light
+> Stereo speakers
+> Manufacturing/assembly quality.
+> Price (at the time of writing the review 6990 in the DNS network of my city)

[ - ] Lack of LTE.
[ - ] No backlight touch buttons.
[ - ] No OTG support

The review has come to an end, thanks to everyone who tried to master this material. I hope it is useful to you and helps you make the right choice.
