Program "Kolyady Dar"

This program is a Slavic calendar (or Kolyady Dar). This calendar existed in Rus' before the introduction of Christianity and carries with it a huge layer of knowledge of our ancient and wise Ancestors

In Summer 7208 (1700 AD), our ancient calendar was banned by Peter the Great, who issued a decree abolishing all old calendars that simultaneously existed in the Russian lands. He introduced the Western European calendar from the Nativity of Christ, thereby stealing 5508 years of Great Heritage from the people.
Nowadays, the Slavic-Aryan calendar is used only by Orthodox Old Believers. You can find out more about him in the Slavic-Aryan Vedas.

The program is used to display Slavic-Aryan months and holidays, as well as to convert dates from the Gregorian style to the Slavic-Aryan style.
The current version of the program only supports the 52nd Circle of Years (1868-2012 AD). The Kolyady Gift program is intended for a wide range of users interested in the ancient heritage of Rus', its culture, traditions and Gods.

How the Kolyada Dar calendar appeared

According to ancient legends, Kolyada Gift was created and given to people as a gift by God Kolyada. This is where the name of the calendar came from (later changed to calendar). The countdown begins from the establishment of peace between the Slavic-Aryans and the Arimas. Our ancestors did not use the word “year”, but considered Summer. This name has survived to this day. For example: “chronicle”, “many years”, “50 years” and so on.
Summer is divided into 9 forties and 3 seasons: Autumn, Winter and Spring. Normal Summer lasts 365 days, and every ninth - 369. The Slavs also called the movement of the Sun's disk across the sky the “Svarozh circle”. It is divided into 16 Halls, which are also divided into 9 Halls (ancient Slavic signs of the Zodiac).
It is interesting that despite the unusual chronology of Kolyada Dar, over tens of thousands of years, it “works” like a clock. No time shift is observed. Moreover, scientists have highlighted its superiority over the European calendar.

Kolyadin Dar program

The Kolyadin Dar program converts the day, month and year according to the Christian chronology in Russia (the Julian calendar before February 1, 1918 and the Gregorian calendar after) to the Slavic chronology (from the Creation of the World in the Star Temple, or SMZH) and back, and also draws a calendar on 1 Slavic month, the current time according to Slavic and Christian time calculation, allows you to read a description of each summer in the Krugolet, month, day and hour, as well as LENTS and holidays.

The program is written in Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0, which, despite all the shortcomings of this solution, allows you to run it on a desktop computer with Wind OS ows, and on PDAs, and even under Linux (via Mono). Descriptions of days and years are stored in a separate file in XML format, which allows you to edit them in any text editor.

To view a description of the day, summer, etc. just call the context menu for this element (almost all elements have a built-in description). Holidays are highlighted with the background color of the day, POSTS with a colored line, and the selected day with a colored frame.

The permissible period of time is from the summer of 796 from SMZH (4713 BC) to the summer of 9999 from SMZH (4491 AD), errors in calculations are possible at the boundaries of the specified range (within one year). Dates can be changed by changing the numbers in the fields (in this case, the fields of a different calendar are calculated automatically), or by scrolling the calendar with the mouse or finger (on a PDA).

Years according to the Christian chronology are calculated using astronomical formulas (built-in functions for working with dates are not used, since they are only suitable starting from 1899), which leads to a time shift of a year in the period earlier than the 1st year AD. , because according to the astronomical calendar of the 1st AD. preceded by year zero, and in civil terms - 1st BC, and year 0 is missing. This is done intentionally, if necessary, just subtract 1 year. It should also be borne in mind that in Western Europe the transition to the Gregorian calendar occurred not in 1918, but in 1582.

Recalculation is carried out depending on the time of day (since the Slavic day begins at 18:00 modern winter time), which is controlled by a flag labeled “evening”. The flag state and date recalculation are automatically performed when the program is started and at 18:00 and 0:00 modern winter time (or 19:00 and 1:00 summer time) daily, and at the rest of the time these values ​​can be changed arbitrarily. This allows you to use the program not only as a reference book and date calculator, but also as a desktop calendar with a clock.
