What is lenovo tab 2 a10. The mobile device radio is a built-in FM receiver

The tablet uses 64-bit quad-core(architecture Cortex-A53 if you're interested) processor Mediatek MT8165 operating at frequencies up to 1.7 GHz. Initially, it was supposed to be limited to 1.5 GHz, but, apparently, Lenovo engineers came to the conclusion that it can be slightly increased without fear of overheating. Various utilities have confirmed that the chip does reach 1.7 GHz, so this is not just unsubstantiated marketing. The speed of the processor is sufficient for the flawless operation of the web browser, and 2 GB RAM allow you to open a decent number of tabs. A pleasant surprise for an inexpensive tablet.

The built-in drive has a fairly high sequential read speed, comparable to more expensive devices, but other attributes (sequential write, work with 4-kilobyte blocks) barely live up to modern standards. Fortunately, in practice, you can’t complain about memory: applications open quickly enough, and Android doesn’t take much time to start. Keep in mind that the 16 GB version only has 10.5 GB free - it makes sense to pay extra for the 32 GB model, especially since it costs not much more.

There is nothing unusual in the package - in addition you will receive documentation and a USB cable that is inserted into the charger. If desired, as an additional accessory, you can purchase a branded keyboard for the tablet.

Design

The design of the model is simple and unobtrusive, and this is the attractiveness of the tablet. It is available in two colors: white and dark blue. Each of them looks very elegant. The case itself is not burdened with any frills - the front of the screen is bordered by a black frame, and the back of the device is made of matte plastic.

It is worth noting that the plastic surface has a coating, thanks to which the tablet is very comfortable to hold in your hands, however, it collects a lot of fingerprints, so you will need to take good care of it.

The black frame around the display, which is not always to the taste of users, was invented for a reason - it allows you to avoid unnecessary touches and sensor responses. That is why the manufacturer makes it visible - everything is thought out for your own comfort.

On the top of the front side there is a manufacturer's logo, a camera and a light indicator. The volume and power keys are located on the left side along with USB port. The headphone jack is located at the top (which is quite convenient), at the back, closer to the edge of the right side, there is a plug, under which the memory card and SIM ports are hidden.

In general, the performance is quite enough for all everyday tasks and for using games, but if you want the best performance, then you definitely should not look for it in devices of this price category.

Multimedia features

From the review of the screen properties, it becomes clear that the tablet is best suited for multimedia tasks - a bright and beautiful picture will make watching videos, movies exciting and comfortable. Since the device has high performance, there will be no problems with downloading streaming video or playing Full HD video.

What can be said about the sound? The tablet has one speaker, located on the back side of the case from above, along its entire length. It is made quite interesting - with a small perforation, which is not just for beauty, but also to improve the sound.

The speaker produces a loud, rich and high-quality sound, the only “but” is its placement, because of which you need to either place the tablet back to front to the user, or have a sound reflector. But such an arrangement is quite practical when using the tablet in your hands, when it is placed on your knees - in these situations you will not mute the speaker.

In general, the image and sound in the device are at a decent level, so it will perfectly cope with multimedia tasks. For file storage, the tablet has 16 GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 64 GB using an external card.

Battery and operating time

The device comes with a 7000 mAh battery, which is enough for a tablet with a capacious screen, but not very high processor parameters, as it does not consume much power compared to devices in the high price segment.

On average, the battery life of the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L model is 12 hours - this is a very large indicator for a tablet with such a screen size and internal filling. It will easily hold a charge for several days with average use, charging in 3-4 hours due to the large battery capacity.

Such indicators of battery life play in favor of the model, especially when you consider that most equipment of this kind needs to be charged every day.

Camera

As usual in the world of tablets, regardless of their price, you should not expect great features from the cameras on the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L model. The main module of 8 Mpx does not have a flash, but the results of shooting in good light can please you - the pictures are optimal in quality and resolution.

In the application, the cameras are provided for adjusting contrast, white balance and other parameters, the flicker compensation function is noteworthy - it improves the quality of shooting mobile phone displays or a computer screen.

The front camera of 5 megapixels provides decent selfie shots and handles video calls without any problems. In general, the cameras on the tablet are not bad - they provide photos and videos of decent quality.

Operating system and programs

By default, Android 4.4 is installed on this model with the Lenovo Vibe UI shell, but after the first turn on, you can upgrade to version 5.0, and this can be done via a Wi-Fi connection.

Programs are used through a standard list in the menu or with the help of desktops, where they are grouped. The notification panel and the last included applications remained the same, while the settings are displayed as an icon with the name of each section.

In addition to the standard set of applications that will allow you to immediately start working, there is a browser, players, settings, an alarm clock, etc., and a synchronization program from the manufacturer has also been added. In it, you can create your own "cloud" for storing data, as well as sharing it between different users.

Another interesting addition is the Dolby Atmos app for detailed sound settings. In general, the system leaves a good impression - well thought out and easy to use, and there are no malfunctions in operation.

Competitors

If we take into account the rich functionality, good stuffing and large screen of the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L model, then in its price segment it has practically no competitors with the same set of advantages.

Exception - samsung galaxy Tab A 9.7, which has good parameters, but it has a noticeable worst screen and a higher price, which is not in his favor.

Pros and cons

The main advantages of Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L are as follows:

  • High quality big screen.
  • High performance for its segment.
  • Powerful battery and long battery life.
  • Excellent speaker sound quality.

Among the shortcomings, it is worth noting the inability to make calls and a creaky body, which, however, did not affect its strength. The rest of the tablet has almost no cons, especially considering its price.

Conclusion

The Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet is another attractive device that strikes a good balance between cost and functionality.

A full review of the functionality allows us to conclude that it has a large and high-quality screen, it holds a charge for a long time and does an excellent job with the system and applications. For such a price, this is a great option to buy, since in this segment you simply will not find other models with similar characteristics.

Who is this tablet for? Almost everyone: for Internet surfing, listening to music, watching movies, reading and working. Externally, it is made with restraint and taste, so it is in perfect harmony with its internal content.

Screen quality and price are two of the most important features of a tablet. There is no shortage of expensive high-end tablets on the market with great displays, but similarly impressive screens are almost unavailable. That's why the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is a special case, because it offers a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels at an uncharacteristic price range.

And while it will set you back less than half the price of a high-end tablet, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 offers more than half its quality. Starting at £18,000, the 10-inch tablet offers average performance in most aspects - like most other cheap tablets - except for one major feature: screen quality. It's one of the most affordable tablets with a Full HD panel, and in addition to the eye-catching picture, the Lenovo tablet also offers powerful Dolby-engineered speakers for extra sound.

On the other hand, the rest of the details of the tablet are unremarkable. Its everyday design is a bit thick, and its significant weight causes discomfort after prolonged use. The performance is also below average and is suitable only for medium tasks like checking email and surfing the web, the speed drops noticeably when loading applications and playing graphics-intensive games.

But don't get us wrong, for , the new Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is an attractive tablet. It's not cheap in a pejorative sense. The tablet really costs less than its strongest competitors. With a sharp display and amazing speakers, you'll be hard-pressed to find another that offers the same for less. If you're not ready to pay dearly for a video tablet, then the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L should meet your needs. Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L review more…

DesignLenovo Tab 2 A10-70

If you haven't used skinny tablets like or before, you probably won't notice the Lenovo Tab 2 A10's waist and weight right away. It is by no means a brick; it's just that the tablet eschews the term "thin". For an inexpensive tablet, this is a common thing.

The very dark blue plastic backplate has a smooth texture with a matte finish. Under certain lighting, a thin metallic sheen appears on it. On the top of the back panel, you'll find speakers that take up the full width of the tablet, except for the camera in the center, which separates them.

The edges of the Lenovo tablet are flat, with a rib designed to separate the back from the front. No sharp or incredibly protruding ribs, your fingers can comfortably rest on the sides of the tablet. From top to bottom, the left edge of the Lenovo tablet is covered by the power button, volume rocker, Micro USB port, and MicroSD slot. All alone in the center of the tablet's top edge, you'll find the headphone jack.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L we reviewed offers substantial comfort. The rounded edges are a little harsh, but after a while they cut comfortably into the palm of your hand. The tablet's weight of 499 grams becomes quite evident during long sessions on hand. Working with the tablet for a long time, I found myself constantly changing my grip. That's not surprising for a mobile device of this size, but when compared to other tablet designs, including the much more streamlined , Lenovo falls short. If you're holding a tablet for hours on end, whether you're watching a movie or chatting on social media, the discomfort becomes an annoying aspect of an otherwise enjoyable tablet.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 review: The buttons dutifully protrude from the left edge of the tablet.

Features Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L

Not only do they ignore conventional beauty standards, they also skimp on features. software. The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L runs on an almost vanilla version, unlike previous models, it has an app drawer that brings all your apps in one place.

Lenovo also downloads some of its own apps, including Browser, Contacts, and Calendar. Lenovo applications also include SyncIT and ShareIT applications. SyncIT allows you to synchronize your contacts and also provide backup or SD card recovery, while ShareIT allows you to share with other tablets, phones and PCs. The apps aren't essentials, but if you're new to them, they'll complement your new tablet's features with ease of use.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 review: The app drawer becomes a convenient central location for all your apps.

CharacteristicsLenovoTab 2A10-70L

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is powered by a Mediatek MT8165 quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal memory with a microSD slot that supports cards up to 64 GB. Other features include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and an accelerometer.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 review: Lightweight for the wallet, but not for the hands.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L performance

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L is great for everyday use. You could write emails, check social networks, watch streaming video, everything is just fine. It will provide smooth, though not the fastest, performance, and the tablet will also slow down a bit with consistent application load, although this happens with most tablets.

Mobile games like Angry Birds and Candy Crush played without a hitch. Most games take some time to load before the load levels off. With no apps open in the background, the review Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L runs smoothly, albeit a bit slower. Its performance is on par with the strongest competitors. Compared to Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, it performed much better in gaming tests, although slightly worse than the Kindle Fire HD 10.

In games where I need two thumbs on the screen, the Lenovo tablet felt bulky and difficult to navigate. This will not be a problem in games that are controlled with one hand, like Angry Birds. In fact, a large screen can be quite helpful. Overall, I wasn't disappointed with its gaming performance, however its size and hefty weight may make your experience less enjoyable than you'd like.

The Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L offers a screen resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It's not the sharpest resolution for a tablet, but it's a very serious resolution for a tablet in this price range. HD video looks sharp and detailed with very clear images. Colors on the screen look accurate and saturated enough for live images, but not oversaturated like on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7. Compared to the Kidle HD 10, the Amazon tablet's screen is dull, lacking in color and sharpness. The Lenovo tablet's 10-inch screen also offers really deep blacks, unlike the competition, but both fall short when it comes to brightness.

Tablets have traditionally eschewed speakers, and as a result encouraged alternative headphone use, but Lenovo's tablets have shrugged off the trend. According to the manufacturer, the new Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L carry " soundbars» on the rear panel. The two speakers, separated by the main camera, come under the Dolby brand, but since they're located on the back of the tablet, the sound is routed away from your ears, not towards them.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10 review: The screen is sharper and colors more accurate than comparable tablets.

Audio sounds better when you use the preinstalled Dolby app. You can change the sound optimization settings for movies, music, or games. When watching movies and games, the sound becomes more intelligible and, thanks to Dolby Atmos technology - which allows the sound to spread dynamically in space - the sound effects become clear, exciting and crisp. This technology also helps the music, beautifully emphasizes the vocals, but the bass is still not enough to give the melodies an addictive charm.

Unlike its younger counterpart, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L's pair of cameras are quite good for a tablet. The 8MP rear camera captures crisp photos with accurate colors. It is capable of focusing sharply on objects at close range and a distant landscape. To the delight of selfie aficionados, the 5MP front-facing camera also promises focus and accurate colors, although colors can become a bit washed out in brightly lit rooms.

Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L review: The midnight blue back panel looks subtle and stylish.

The review of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L tablet was also not without tests, we launched a looped HD video (720p) at medium brightness in Airplane Mode, the tablet lasted 13 hours. For any tablet, especially a tablet with such a large screen, this is an impressively long time.

Final word

Budget tablets that sacrifice good performance and chic design for a low price tend to be hard to sell. However, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10 is one of the exceptions, thanks to its Full HD panel.

The Amazon Kindle Fire HD 10 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 are the leading competitors of the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L. The Kindle Fire HD 10 is like a Lenovo tablet, a great tablet for consuming media content, but for a different reason. If you're an Amazon Prime member, the 10-inch Kindle HD offers easy access to an excellent media library overflowing with TV shows and movies available to stream or download. Its audio speakers are superior to Lenovo's, but while its screen is brighter, its resolution is nowhere near as high.

As soon as the announcement of this tablet appeared in the media, I immediately received several letters from our readers with a request to review it. The model really came out very balanced in terms of price-performance ratio, so it's definitely worth talking about.

Appearance, materials, controls, assembly

Part by part appearance The Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L lacks stars from the sky, this is a typical ten-inch Android tablet with slightly rounded corners and a black border around the display.

On the front side there is a front 5 MP camera eye and a light indicator (there is no light sensor).

On the left, there is a volume rocker and a power button, as well as a microUSB port. On the top end - 3.5 mm for headphones, on the bottom - a hole for a speaking microphone for Skype and other programs.

The back cover is made of matte smooth plastic with soft-touch coating. Thanks to him, the tablet is comfortable to hold in your hands, but it is important to remember that such material collects fingerprints very well. By the way, there is a stub at the back, under which slots for a memory card and a microSIM card are hidden.

Here you can see the stereo speakers and the eye of the main camera. This model has support for Dolby Atmos technology, and if we talk about sound, it is really very good here, both in terms of volume and sound quality, the tablet will perfectly replace an inexpensive wireless speaker.

Two versions of the tablet will be available for sale: white and dark blue, we had just the last one on the test.

On the assembly part, I noticed one feature in my sample: apparently, there is a small empty space between the lid and the insides, so if you press hard on it, you will feel how it is slightly squeezed. This cannot be called a serious drawback, especially since in normal use cases you are unlikely to notice it.

Dimensions

In addition to the growth in resolution and performance of tablets, their dimensions are also decreasing every year, this is especially noticeable in terms of weight. A couple of years ago, the figure of 600-700 grams was considered the norm, but already in 2014-2015 it shifted to 450-500 grams, and Lenovo, with its 509 grams, looks great compared to competitors.

The tablet is comfortable to hold for a long time with one or two hands. As for the thickness, it is, of course, not at the level of leaders, but this model also did not seem thick to me.

Screen

One of the key advantages of this tablet is an excellent high-quality display. It is important to note that few of the famous manufacturers can offer you a ten-inch tablet with FHD resolution and an IPS matrix in the segment under 20,000 rubles.

And the screen in the Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L is really good: viewing angles close to the maximum, a large brightness range and good behavior in the sun. At the same time, thanks to the FHD resolution, it is very comfortable to read from the tablet, even small text looks very clear.

There is also an oleophobic coating here, though not as good as, for example, in the same Apple iPad Air or Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. The finger slides well on the display, but the prints are not rubbed off as quickly as in these models.

Operating system

The tablet works under android control 4.4.4 and Lenovo's proprietary Vibe UI shell. There are rumors on the net that the model will be updated to Android 5.0, but keep in mind that rumors are not always confirmed. Eldar Murtazin already spoke about the features of Vibe UI in a separate article, those who wish can read it at the link below:

Performance

In everyday use, there are no complaints about the tablet. Tables scroll quickly, the browser works without slowdowns, applications do not slow down.

But with games, the situation is not so good. Although the same Asphalt 8 runs at maximum settings, subsidence in FPS is visible to the naked eye. This is worth considering if you plan to use the tablet for the most productive toys.

Another plus of the tablet is the location of the chipset, even in high-performance games you will almost not feel heat, since only the upper half of the back cover is heated.

Offline work

In our synthetic tests, the tablet shows simply excellent battery life, both for watching videos and reading. With everyday use, you can safely count on 4-5 days of work, depending on the intensity of use of the tablet.

Camera

The tablet has an 8 MP main camera and a 5 MP front camera. Despite the high resolution, the pictures from the main camera are of very average quality, you can see for yourself in the examples below. Video device records in FHD resolution. As for the front camera, it is typical for such devices; in the same Skype, there is no noticeable difference with 2 MP cameras.

Wireless interfaces

The presence of dual-band Wi-Fi has already become a familiar attribute of the middle segment of tablets, as well as support for LTE. But the relatively fast (for the MediaTek chipset) start of GPS pleasantly pleased, as well as the presence of USB-OTG. By the way, voice calls are not supported by the device, and this is clearly an artificial limitation.

Accessories

I saw that you can buy a branded accessory for the tablet for 2,200 rubles. Keep in mind that this money is worth the option without a keyboard, if you want a case with the same keyboard, you will have to pay about 5000 rubles, which already does not look like such an interesting offer.

Conclusion

In retail, the Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 version with LTE and 16 GB of internal memory is sold for 18,000 rubles. For the money, you get a fast tablet with a great display, very good stereo speakers, relatively light weight, and LTE support. Of the minuses, I will single out only the lack of voice calls and slowdowns in Asphalt 8.

At the moment, this model has no direct competitors. None of the major brands will offer you a ten-inch tablet with FHD resolution and LTE support, there are only a few older models (the same Asus MeMO Pad 10 FHD) that have almost disappeared from the shelves of large retail chains. You can remember the Chinese, but you definitely should not compare them with the large Lenovo. And modern flagships like the same Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5, although they outperform this model, are also much more expensive.

As a result, Lenovo turned out to be a good tablet with a chic price-performance ratio without any significant flaws. If you are looking for a ten-inch Android tablet in the sub-20,000 ruble segment, then I strongly recommend this model.
