Beats solo 2 wireless. Beats Solo2 Wireless Bluetooth headset review

Beats Solo 2 is a striking, in every sense, representative of the highest class headphones. Any connoisseur of high-quality sound will appreciate this model. Headphones are capable of transmitting sound exactly as it was recorded. You'll be amazed at the stunningly dynamic sound that Beats Solo 2 delivers.

The headphones are designed to ensure your maximum comfort.

Ergonomically shaped and swivel, Beats Solo 2 has a perfect fit. Amazing sound insulation will give you protection from extraneous noise.

Moreover, the headphones are able to remove excess heat, which makes their use even more comfortable. The headphones are made of durable materials, so their durability is off the charts. Among other things, Beats Solo 2 folds very conveniently, so it takes up little space, which will be useful during, for example, long trips.

With Beats Solo 2, you can skip tracks, answer calls, and adjust the volume without touching the device.

Agree, this is very convenient.

In addition to amazing characteristics, the headphones have an extremely stylish design, making them quite capable of becoming an integral element of your style. Streamlined shapes and bright colors look very modern. Beats Solo 2 is not only the highest quality, but also the beauty of execution.

ADVANTAGES OF BEATS SOLO 2.0 WIRELESS HEADPHONES:

Works with all audio devices that support Bluetooth.

Powered by built-in battery, charging via USB.

Very good wireless on-ear headphones
Pros: The Beats Solo 2 Wireless are well-made wireless headphones that sound good in both wireless and wired modes and, for an on-ear headphone, fit relatively comfortably. Battery life is pretty decent. The right earpiece has a built-in remote control that is easy to operate by touch.
Disadvantages: Expensive. They don't sound as good as Bose SoundLink Bluetooth headphones, which cost $50 less.
Bottom line: Beats Bluetooth headphones have many advantages, which, however, do not justify their high price.

Earlier this year I reviewed the Beats Solo 2, a vastly improved successor to one of the most popular headphones in the world.
I liked the Solo 2, I consider them to be one of the best headphones in the price range, despite the fact that they are better suited for those who appreciate a more energetic, "exciting" sound profile.
So why wasn't I as enamored with the Beats Solo2 Wireless, which looks similar to its corded sibling but weighs a little more due to some extra electronics and a built-in battery? Well, first of all – the price. These headphones cost 7,890 rubles, which is quite expensive for headphones, wired or wireless. For such a price range, our expectations can be very high: the item must be if not great
then definitely getting closer to it. The Beats Solo2 Wireless don't fall into this category. For Bluetooth headphones,
They're very good, but they don't reach the "great" level of Apple's larger, more expensive Studio Wireless - partly because they're not as comfortable and partly because they don't sound as good.

This doesn't mean the Beats Solo 2 headphones are bad. In fact, as I said, they are quite good in many ways. But for the money, you can probably find better wireless options, including the Studio Wireless.
Design and functions I usually don't spend much time comparing invoices and full size
headphones. But I think that many will choose between the compact Solo 2 Wireless and the larger Studio Wireless.
There are some advantages to being so compact. These headphones are lighter than the Studio Wireless; They fold down and fit into a smaller carrying case. Yes, they are more convenient for travel, but still, they are not as lightweight as some competitors, such as the Bose SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth. The Bose model weighs 62 grams less.
It's also worth mentioning that since the Beats Solo 2 Wireless fit very tightly (the headphones stay firmly on your head even when running), they put a little pressure on your ears.
In terms of features, as with most Bluetooth headphones, you can listen to the audio stream up to 10m away from the Bluetooth transmitting device. There are controls on the earcup that allow you to adjust the volume, take calls, and skip back and forth from one song to another.
As already mentioned, the kit includes a cable for wired listening in case the battery runs out.
This model doesn't have the noise cancellation feature that the Studio Wireless has (it also has AptX support, but I don't think it's anything special). In fact, these headphones are actually based on the Solo 2; when you connect a cable to them, they sound almost identical to the wired Solo 2, that is, quite good. Bose cannot boast of this: in wired mode, their sound quality drops, but Beats does not.

As for battery life, it's rated at 12 hours, which is less than the larger Studio Wireless but still pretty decent. A set of LEDs on the earcups serves as a battery charge indicator; you can also see the remaining charge on the indicator on your phone or tablet.

Like all Bluetooth stereo headphones, this model has a built-in microphone that allows you to make calls. Call quality was good, although the higher-end Studio Wireless has some advantage in this regard.

Frequency characteristics

Good Bluetooth headphones are those that sound like good wired ones. In this regard, the Solo 2 Wireless succeeds quite well, maintaining, for the most part, the quality of the wired Solo 2. However, in wireless mode there is a slight loss of quality. The sound becomes harsher and less clear, and also less dense in the lower frequencies.
The Beats Solo 2 Wireless are strong Bluetooth headphones, and their faster sound may better suit the musical tastes of some listeners.

Of course, everyone's musical and aesthetic tastes are different. Some people will like the look and sound of Beats more than Bose.

After a day, my gut feeling about these headphones is that I would rather spend the extra money to get the Studio Wireless, which are more comfortable headphones with top-notch sound quality. Yes, this model is more compact and less bulky, many will prefer this. But at current indicative prices, the Wireless Studio probably represents a better buy, albeit a bit more expensive.
Review from the site

Beats solo 2.0 is a completely transformed and updated version of the well-known headphone brand. This model has a huge number of advantages:

  1. You don't need any wires to listen to audio recordings. This is a huge plus, you don’t have to untangle them every time or risk breaking them off altogether. The data will be transmitted over the air between the player or other device on which the video was recorded and the receiver or headphones. Moreover, it is worth noting that the quality of the reproduced sound will not suffer at all; the original sound and range of the song will be preserved in its full sound.
  2. Beats solo 2.0 wireless will work with any device that has Bluetooth. If you don't have a player at hand, this now can't stop you from listening to your favorite music. Just turn on any Bluetooth-enabled device, be it a phone, tablet, laptop or TV. If you are on the road, you can simply turn on the tablet, connect it to the headphones and put it in your bag: the absence of wires allows you to place the transmitter anywhere near the receiver and the wires will not prevent you from simply hiding this device in your bag or suitcase. And the excellent battery power will allow them to work for a long time.
  3. Powered by a built-in battery, you can charge using USB ports.
  4. There is a microphone placed directly into the headphones themselves. This opens up a very interesting opportunity: audio can be played using voice commands.
  5. You can control not only your voice, but also the remote control, and the latter is convenient because it is located directly on the body of the Solo 2.0 wireless headphones.
  6. You can listen to your favorite music and other audio on the go in stunning HD quality.
  7. Every detail of the recording, every note of the song will be reproduced with filigree precision thanks to the new titanium deposition technology.

This model is incredibly comfortable, high quality and functional. All this makes it the best choice for purchase.

You can buy wireless headphones in many stores, both real and virtual, because the brand is very popular and time-tested.

If you said to yourself: “I’ll buy wireless 2,” then find a trusted store or online site, because buying such a product is not cheap.

These models have many design options. One of the most popular is Monster beats by dr dre. This model has a beautiful design, reminiscent of the curves of sports cars, and is easy to transform.

You can buy Monster beats by dr dre in the same way as the classic version of these headphones; usually stores offer many of these models from the same line.

Score 4

Pros: They work for a long time, the battery lasts for several days.
Convenient sound adjustment and play/pause.
They look stylish.
Excellent packaging - microusb charger included, charge indicator on the screen, automatically connects, does not conflict much with car Bluetooth.

Disadvantages: To be honest, I expected more from the sound. The sound is good, but, for example, I would not distinguish it from the sound in headphones for 5000. I tested it on hip-hop, among other things. Maybe I'm spoiled by big speakers with great bass. The difference is in the highs - on beats you hear more highs.
Doesn't sit very comfortably on the head. But in general, they don’t fly off.

Comment: Received as a gift.
I myself would never buy or pay more than 8,000 rubles for wireless headphones.

Score 4

Pros: - Appearance (I have yellow ones!)
- The sound is not for everyone, but I really like it, clear in every sense
- The volume is sufficient, although they don’t scream like Monster Beats Wireless. This is a plus, maybe I won’t go deaf when I’m very young
- They sit comfortably and quite firmly on my head (I have a medium head), they don’t put pressure on my ears
- Case included
- The materials are very nice, the soft touch rules. The pads are leatherette, but soft
- By the way, the design seems quite reliable, better than the monster’s. The cups are not so heavy, due to which they do not strive to turn the arch inside out at the first opportunity
- The battery is finite, but it’s enough for everything. There's a wire for every fireman
- You can find out how much charge is left

Disadvantages: - They turn off in the cold, and -15 for them is frosty
upd -10 is also frosty, -5 is mild frost) They work a little longer, but the result is the same - shutdown, of course sudden. I carry the wire and get mad when the scarf gets tangled in it. Surely in Cupertino, shutting down in the cold is not a problem. It’s a terrible pity that I don’t live there, but only in Moscow time
- It’s not always possible to switch tracks back and forth the first time (tremor detected))
- The case in Monster Bits was cooler, there was a pocket for wires
- We paired with my ancient laptop on Win7, but the sound did not work in them. Not comme il faut. The laptop is a sleepyhead, after all, it’s not some kind of no-name; there have never been such problems with any modern device. This one is probably super modern
- The sound indication has changed compared to Beats wireless, and unfortunately, not for the better. There is no on/off sound, only the bluetooth connection remains. You can't start blindly from your head. Unfortunately, they don’t warn about a quick discharge either, you have to look at the light bulbs, which are of course very beautiful, but personally, my own ears are not in front of my eyes, but behind them - so I don’t see them. Surely people from Cupertino can look at their ears if they want. Again it’s a pity that I’m not with them and not there

Comment: Apple knows how to ruin a great product and mood, we must give them their due.

Pros: Workmanship
Beautiful
Sound
Ergonomics
Convenience

Disadvantages: Price))

Comment: Excellent headphones. Good bass. Nice tall ones. Beats have a special “magic”, even those who hate them still want them. Even if the headphones are not audiophile, they do not give the right sound, but they have their own signature sound. Personally, I like it.

Rating 5

Pros: design, volume, bass, sensitivity

Disadvantages: I would like the cups to completely cover the ears :(

Rating 5

Advantages: I became interested in them and wanted to buy them on the internet at a three-fold discount and with gifts like a knife and a player. But I refused the order after reading the reviews. how people cannot get their money back through the courts. I bought it from a dealer. I bought blue ones. Very comfortable headphones. Conveniently folds into a case. Good sound. They do not completely cover the ears and strong external noises. like the metro. you can still hear it. Increasing the volume helps. Cool LEDs like all Apple equipment - the light is the same metallic. The first turn on and recharging takes about an hour. The headphones held a charge for three days when used for five hours a day. The smell when opening the box is like apple clav. Who knows will understand. But a very fragile design! don't buy a fake! take care of your money If you want to buy cheaper, copy the link to a site that sells very cheaply and with a promotion and look for reviews. You will learn a lot of useful things. Apple bought Beats and therefore this brand cannot be cheaper than dealers!

Let's see what the Beats Solo2 Wireless are - let's talk about features, design, ease of wearing, sound, price, and various little things. In short, these are very good headphones for the money...

Design, construction

The model belongs to the so-called Active Collection, these are two-color headphones, yellow with gray, raspberry with gray and blue with gray, they look very cool, but you need to be a rather radical citizen to choose the combination as in the photo - although, if you like bright sneakers, then and acid Solo 2 you will like.

Compared to the wired version, the design has changed little, small cups “walk” for a better fit, and the 3.5 mm jack has not gone away. The headphones are hybrid and can be connected via Bluetooth or cable. While there is still a microUSB connector for charging, I think that in a year or two, Beats will use Lightning in the entire line of headphones. I really liked the materials, the yellow plastic is velvety, traces of use are not visible, there is rubber inside. The cups can be folded, in which case the headphones can be placed in a large jacket pocket. The eco-leather ear pads fit well on the Solo head, do not put pressure, you can walk or work for a long time without the slightest discomfort. Traditionally, there are a lot of nice details related to the presentation of the item as a whole, branded cables with a logo, neat packaging, a well-made soft case, metal guides. All in all, this is the answer to why Beats are part of street culture, constantly making news on major sites like Hypebeast, and loved by everyone from school kids to movie stars. You know what to expect when buying a Studio or Solo - at Beats we were taught to love bass and let the critics salivate, sales will not fall from this. Moreover, now the brand belongs to Apple and amazing events are probably still awaiting us.

Passive noise insulation here is a C, overall comfort is an A with a minus - a minus for the lack of normal ventilation, the material is very dense. And again I want to draw your attention to the details, look how great the fabric is combined with eco-leather, very cool.

There are four buttons on the headphone body, this is a small power button next to the chain of indicators, you can always check the remaining operating time. On the left earcup there is a multifunction button B, with its help you can answer and end a call, start and pause playback. To activate pairing mode, you need to press and hold B for two seconds. At the top and bottom of the letter B are two volume buttons. All buttons click with a click, no complaints.

It’s interesting that the headphones also work great with a cable - there is a remote control and it behaves as in the case of a wired model, you can talk using the microphone on the remote, control playback, calls, and launch Siri. As you know, some airlines prohibit the use of Bluetooth, for example, Aeroflot, so Solo 2 in this sense is a good option, take out the cable, listen to music further.

The device is comfortable to wear around the neck, in which case everyone will see the company name on the headband.

Peculiarities

Some useful tips regarding the use of headphones - something that may be useful to you and was useful to me. First, about the reset:

“Make sure the headphones are not connected to the USB charging cable.

  1. Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds.
  2. Release the button.
  3. The battery level indicators will blink white, then the first one will blink red, repeating this three times.
  4. When the lights stop flashing, the factory reset is complete."

The headphones work with the Beats Updater program; to use, you need to connect the Solo with a cable and follow the link. The web interface is used, you can change the name of the headphones, check the software version, as you can see, my model has the latest version.

Working hours

The stated operating time is about 12 hours, charging will require at least two hours. You can charge using the laptop's USB port, an external battery, I also used the power supply included with the iPhone 7. The headphones can be used while charging, which is a plus.

Sound

Listened from iPhone 7 Plus, iPad Pro, iMac. In short, I liked it.

What can you expect from Beats? These are, first of all, universal headphones for all your activities - as in the review of wired Solo 2, I will repeat my thought, with the help of headphones we not only listen to music, there are also games, films, communication and a number of other specific tasks. Therefore, they configured Solo 2 so that they behave as expected in any use scenario - the company taught the whole world to love low frequencies, this model is no exception. Any electronic fan will be happy with it, God bless it, with the middle or vocals, but it’s perfect for techno. In general, good old “bits”, as convenient and comfortable as worn-out Nikes. You know what to expect when you give money.

By the way, the sound in headphones depends very much on the file type; it’s worth experimenting with FLAC.

The quality of voice transmission is not bad, it is quite possible to communicate in a quiet room, but outdoors it is better to use a telephone. I was pleased with the range; in the apartment I used the headphones at a distance of up to seven to eight meters without any problems.

conclusions

In retail, the headphones cost about 17,500 rubles, this is the average price, it very much depends on the color - black ones are the cheapest, Active Collection is more expensive. Pros of headphones:

  • The image aspect cannot be underestimated; headphones are known and loved by young people all over the world, and for many this is the most important point when choosing.
  • Good design, assembly, details like branded cables and easy software updates are captivating.
  • The operating time is about 12 hours, not bad for compact headphones.
  • Comfortable to wear.
  • Recognizable sound. You can argue or not, but the signature Beats sound is felt even without wires.
  • For 18,000 rubles there are not many competitors - Harman/Kardon Soho Wireless, Plantronics BackBeat Sense, it seems that each has advantages compared to Beats, but here marketing magic comes into play and I would have thought a hundred times why I give money.
  • Please note there is no leather and little metal.
  • Many people really don’t like the sound - but everything is subjective.
  • Is the microUSB connector still used, when is the transition to Lightning already possible?

My advice is to buy if you love Beats. There are many such people around and I personally am not going to discuss it. The main thing is that you don’t have to think, you bought Solo 2 and everything is in order, everyone around you understands everything. The marketing wizards from Beats/Apple do not eat their bread in vain, and therefore Beats Solo2 Wireless has an excellent fate - if not in Russia, then certainly in the world.
