Where to put mods for minecraft. How to download mods for Minecraft and how to install them? If you have a licensed version of the game

Hi all! Every day many different mods for minecraft pe appear on our website. Mods are becoming more and more popular as they greatly expand the possibilities of the game. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to install mods for minecraft pe and because of this they are disappointed in mods for minecraft. I want to tell you how to install mods on minecraft pe. Let's get down to business. To install the mod, we need the program. It is this program that makes it possible to launch mods. Of course, it would be better if it were possible to install mods without this launcher, but for now programmers are not going to do this and we will have to be content with what we have.

I hope you have already downloaded BlockLauncher (I gave the link above). Now you need to find a suitable mod and download it. For example, I will install . Why will I install this particular mod? Probably because it contains both a script and textures.

You will have to download the mod. As a rule, mods are transferred as an archive, but sometimes there are just .js files that you should also download to your phone. If you downloaded it as an archive, be sure to unpack the archive to any convenient location. I unpacked 2 folders: a folder with a script and a folder with textures.

Now go to BlockLauncher and click on the wrench that is located in the middle at the top. A new window will appear. In it, select “ModPE Script”, then another window will open.

There, click “Add” -> “Phone storage”. You should have seen an explorer from the block launcher and in it you will have to find the folder with the script (extension .js). Once you find the script, select it. Immediately after selecting the mod you will see the following:

Great! Consider what you now know how to install script on minecraft ne. To avoid any misunderstandings, I’ll explain how scripts differ from mods. Mods come with textures, and scripts without textures, but out of old habit, Minecrafters call everything mods.

If the mod didn't come with textures, then congratulations! You have successfully installed the mod. Now all that remains is to go into the game itself and check if the mod you installed works.

And we'll move on to textures. If you haven't forgotten, we also had textures, without which the mod would have been uninteresting. Everything is even simpler here. I already wrote about how to install textures on Minecraft, but I’ll write it again here. Just go to the settings, look for the section with textures, click on it and click on the “Import” button. Next, look for the texture pack in the same way (the texture pack should be in the archive, you don’t need to unpack it) and select it. You will have this texture pack:

This completes the entire installation process. Now you can go into the game and check if everything works. Everything works great for me! If something didn’t work out for you, write in the comments. I'll try to help you.

You can do a lot in Minecraft - this game practically does not limit your possibilities. You can build, craft items, brew potions, enchant weapons, and so on. Exploring the world, taming animals, fighting mobs and much more - all this is available to you in Minecraft. But at the same time, creative fans never stop looking for new ways to expand the gameplay, so new modifications are constantly appearing online that expand functionality, add new features and items - and even new worlds. How can you add something like this to your game? How to enable a mod in Minecraft? This is exactly what you will learn from this article.

Downloading the mod

Naturally, if you want to know how to enable a mod in Minecraft, you need to start by searching for the necessary files. You need to download them to your computer, which is, in principle, very simple to do if the site does not have any protection installed. But most mod creators create for the public, so mods are distributed absolutely freely and for free. So look for the mod you need, download it and get ready to learn the installation process, as well as how to enable the mod in Minecraft.

Minecraft.jar

The first thing you need to pay attention to is minecraft.jar. This archive will be key in your actions, since the modification is added there. The first thing you need to do is extract the content, this is done using any archiver available to you. How to include a mod in Minecraft in this folder? It's very simple - you need to copy all the files you downloaded from the Internet and move them to the newly extracted archive. If the system asks you about replacing duplicate files, confirm this is necessary for the mods to work. Once the copying process is complete, you will need to ensure that minecraft.jar returns to archive form. To do this, use the archiver again. After this, you can start the game - mods are added to Minecraft exclusively by software, you don’t have to activate anything else in the game itself.

Backup

Before you make any changes to the minecraft.jar file, you need to make sure that you have a backup copy of it on your computer. This is a completely standard practice that is used everywhere, not only in computer games, but in all matters related to software. If something goes wrong during the installation of the mod, you will not be able to manually return everything the way it was. Then you can completely remove the corrupted version and return the backup, which will return everything to its original state. Therefore, never forget about this - it is a key point in installing any unofficial mod, add-on or extension.

Activation of the mod

It's time to figure out how to enable the mod. This question arises for many gamers who patched their client but did not receive any changes. As already mentioned, no additional activation is required - you just need to launch the game and enjoy the process. If nothing has changed for you, then something went wrong. First of all, try deleting the META-INF folder, which often interferes with the normal activation of the mod. If this does not help, then you just need a backup copy. Try deleting the installed modification and using a backup copy, install it again. Nothing succeeded? This means that there is something wrong with the modification itself. You'd better try downloading it from another site, preferably from the official page of the developer of this mod. Or contact technical support, if available.

Today I will tell you how to install a mod on the Minecraft client. If you already know how to install mods on the client and want to learn how to install mods on the server, then a separate article has been written for you: “How to install mods on the Minecraft server.”

So let's get started, mods are divided by type into 4 types, by installation type:

The first is independent mods, which are independent, they do not depend on any API, that is, they can be installed themselves, then there are mods that require only one API, for example ModLoader.

The third type is mods that require several APIs, an example would be IndustrialCraft. The fourth type is mods that are installed through a patcher, we will talk about them separately.

Having learned how to install mods on the Minecraft client, I think everyone can then teach their friend how to do this, but now I will try to clearly and intelligibly explain how to install a mod on the Minecraft client.

1. To install mods, you also need several third-party mods, without which other mods simply will not work. Third-party mods fall into the auxiliary category. So, the first mod that will help us is, in fact, it is a launcher for other mods, and also, which will play sound effects from third-party mods, you can, of course, do without it, but playing in silence is somehow not fun.

2. The actual installation takes very little time:

Open the folder in Explorer using the following path:
For the operating system Windows 7, 8 or Vista, this will be the path: Partition of your hard drive:/Users/User/AppData/Roaming/.minecraft/bin, and for XP: Partition of your hard drive::/Documents and Settings/User/ Application Data/.minecraft/bin, where the user is, this is your account on this computer, for example, for me it is called Admin.

After this, open the bin folder, in this folder there will be a minecraft.ja file, select the file, right-click, select open with and select your archiver, in my case it is WinRAR.

Attention: After this step, delete the “META-INF” folder, which is located in the file we opened. If you do not remove it, then when you start the game you will not see anything except a dark screen.

Now you can copy the mod itself, or rather all the folders and files of the mod that you are installing. As you already understood, you need to copy them to the minecraft.jar file, if suddenly during copying a window appears asking you to replace files or folders with the same name, then we agree with the request and replace these files.

So, with how to install auxiliary mods for Minecraft, everything seems to be clear, if not, then ask your questions in the comments. I will continue to tell you how to install the mods that you want to see in the game.

Again, go to the Minecraft game directory, open the bin folder, and do not forget to make a backup of the minecraft.jar file, so that if something happens, you can roll back the changes, if you forgot to make a copy, then here you can. We open this file, again in the same way as above with the archiver, also open the folder with the downloaded mod.

With a 99% probability there will be a “resources” folder there; it must be moved to the game directory with the same name. After that, select all the files and folders from the archive with the mod and copy them to the minecraft.jar file, not to the “resources” folder, but to the root of this file. If it becomes necessary to replace files, we agree and replace them.

Attention: If you have not yet deleted the "META-INF" folder from the minecraft.jar file, then it's time to do it, I remind you once again, do not forget to delete this folder.

This step is all, the mod is completely installed.

Some Important notes on installing mods:

The most common mistake that newbies make is that they do not look at the version of the mod and the version of the client for which it is intended before installing. If the versions match, then you can safely install the mod, the same applies to mods such as . If you see that the versions do not match, then, as they say, you don’t have to worry about it, the game will 100% not start.

There is also such a thing as incompatibility between installed mods. Some mods conflict with each other, perhaps they even work together, but they are not stable and the game may lag. If, according to my guide for installing mods for Minecraft, the installation of this or that mod does not work, then look in the archive with the mod for the file “Read.txt” or “Readme.txt”, perhaps this particular mod has a specific installation that is different from the generally accepted one Then this file is guaranteed to have its own instructions for installing the mod.

Important: I do not recommend installing texture packs from a third-party manufacturer on a Minecraft client with mods, since most likely they will not appear in the mod, or rather, you simply will not see them. If you install a mod that, according to the description, should add items or blocks, but these items do not appear, then you can try to fix this problem as follows:

We are looking for the file .properties or .props, or a roughly similar name, then in this document you need to find the line where the item IDs are written. After this, you need to change the ID to another, for example, the standard block number (11), modified (2315). After that, save all the changes, it may or may not work. I can’t give any guarantees here.

Warning: Please note that the number of mods for the game Minecraft is so large that it is difficult to describe how to install all the mods. I will note only a few features. Some mods are in .zip format and to install them you just need to copy this mod to the .minecraft/mods folder. Some mods also require the installation of other auxiliary mods, such as: , and so on.

If you have any questions, watch the video, I think the questions will disappear!

Mods- these are additions to the game that are made by the players themselves; mods change, complement and improve the game. Therefore, it is much more interesting to play with them and the game itself will never get boring because each mod brings something new to the world of Minecraft. For example, you can add cars, planes, new mobs, biomes, worlds, weapons, tools, armor and many other things that will diversify the already interesting world of minecraft.

Where can I get these mods? You ask. The answer is very simple. On my website you can download any different versions.

Well, now let’s get down to the actual description of how to properly install mods on the game. First you need to install these ModLoader and MC Forge mods. You can’t do without them; 95% of all mods require the installation of these add-ons, which are needed to install robot mods.
